It is with great sorrow that we have to announce the death today of our beloved founder, Joan Hunt O.B.E. She died peacefully surrounded by the love and care of everyone at Cudeca. Knowing that her end was near she expressed the wish that a Mass and celebration of her life be held when current restrictions are lifted, and that rather than with flowers, she be remembered by donations to Cudeca. R.I.P. dear Joan, we will continue with your legacy.

Following our meetings Asociacion Girasol was established to give life to days here. With grants from AG several staff members completed their Masters in Palliative Care, so your influence has extended well beyond Cudeca, and will never be forgotten. RIP, Joan xxx
