Únete al efecto girasol

Add life to the days of people with cáncer and other advanced illnesses.

Hear what Rosa María Martínez, Pablo Raez’s mother, has to say about the importance of Cudeca’s care in helping her son live each day to the fullest, until the end.

What do we want to achieve?

We want to make certain that 250 patients are not alone with their illness, in the most difficult moments of their lives.

To do this, we need to finance one of our home care teams, consisting of a doctor, a nurse, a psychologist and a social worker. They perform an average of 3-4 daily visits, at a cost of 507 € per day.

Our challenge: raising €185,000

What is the Sunflower Effect?

It’s not up to you to add days to the life of a person who has an incurable illness, but you can make each one of those last days count, so they don’t simply pass on but rather each day can be lived to the fullest possible.

What makes you happy? To be cared for, to be loved, to have your every need looked after, to be understood, to feel like smiling, to feel no pain…

You know how to care, listen, love, and understand, right? So, you have the ability to give life to those that are close to you, to comfort those who are in pain, anguish or alone.

The sunflower, symbol of palliative care, is a flower that always turns toward the Sun to fill itself with energy. It represents vitality, love, and a positive attitude in the face of adversity.

How can I join?

We’d like to cover 365 days of caring

Donate one day of caring and help a person be accompanied, with no pain, until the end of their life.

We hope to recover the 2020 moments (walks, kisses, looks of understanding, hugs…) that the pandemia has taken from us this year.

In addition to making a donation in the campaign, you can also raise funds among your family, coworkers and friends and help Cudeca.
