Charity Yoga class
On Saturday, May 26th the Arroyo de la Miel Sports Centre’s Gym is holding an outdoor Yoga event, to help us, on the centre’s grass pitch, starting at 10:00 and continuing for about an hour and a half.
The gym’s objective with this initiative is to support the Cudeca Hospice’s work, through the commitment of the centre’s managers to the Foundation’s cause and their personal experience of the work that it carries out. The idea of this event is to display the team’s human and professional values, demonstrating that gyms are moving away from traditional models and adapting to society’s new interest in promoting health through physical activity, and that this is apt for everyone.
Around 100 people are expected to take part, paying a charitable ticket of 5€ each, and participants can register at the gym’s reception area, right up until the event starts. We’d recommend that anyone wanting to sign up on the day should arrive a little earlier. Each person should bring along their own yoga mat, although the gym will have a few available for those participants who don’t own one.
We'd also like to give a special mention to those people and businesses who are collaborating with the Yoga for CUDECA event, such as Ágora Café (at the sports centre), which is offering tea or coffee and biscuits for the participants; the Benalmadena Sports Board, which has ceded the grass pitch for the event; Marta Rubio Castejón who teaches Therapeutic Yoga, Hatha Yoga and Kundalini Yoga at the Arroyo de la Miel sports centre’s gym and Sr. BIG (Alfonso Grande Luengo), who designed the gym’s logo and who has designed the charity yoga event’s poster in a totally altruistic manner.
