The total number of the Cudeca Tins continued growing in 2019!
During the year 2019, the total number of the Cudeca Tins grew considerably, thus allowing it to continue raising funds to be used for our professional and free care. Every year, we assist more than 1,400 people with cancer and other advanced illnesses and offer support to families.
We have tins located from Nerja to Sotogrande in bars, restaurants, shops and homes, and 2 urns at Malaga Airport, all attended by around 30 volunteers. In response to the solidarity of volunteers and the community of Malaga, 49,618.52 euros have been collected during 2019.
Thanks to the funds collected from the tins in 2019, we will be able to offer home care to 60 people with cancer and other advanced illnesses in 2019 as well as offer support to families by doctors, nurses, psychologists, social workers and physiotherapists hired by the hospice working together with qualified volunteers. All care we provide is completely free of charge.
The Cudeca Hospice together with Natalia Aparicio, with the Tins Department, is grateful for the important support from the community. Likewise, a warm and heartfelt mention to the important support of the volunteers who collect the tins every week; and, especially, to Brendan Dalley, for counting the coins that arrive to us with so much love and responsibility.
Due to the increase in demand for care (15% increase) during 2019, we urgently needs the help of the community. For this reason, it has set itself a new challenge to raise 65,000 euros with the tins in this year 2020.
Help us to beat the challenge!
