The Malaga Academy of Sciences awards a diploma to Dr. Yusuf Hamied
On 30 September, the day on which the European Researchers' Night 2022 was held, the Malaga Academy of Sciences visited the facilities of the CUDECA Foundation and the recently inaugurated Yusuf Hamied Centre, headquarters of the Cudeca Institute for Studies and Research in Palliative Care located in Benalmádena. The Academy is a non-profit corporation founded in 1872 and dedicated to the study, promotion and propagation of scientific knowledge.
In this way, two institutions with strong social roots in Malaga have joined forces to promote scientific knowledge in the field of healthcare, with the aim of improving the quality of care in palliative care.
The president of the CMA, Dr. Fernando Orellana Ramos, presented a diploma to Dr. Yusuf Hamied, CEO of CIPLA, in recognition of his generosity and altruism. There was an opportunity for a lively discussion with Dr. Hamied during which he expressed his satisfaction at being able to live in this corner of Malaga and for having been overwhelmed by the work carried out by CUDECA, with which he maintains a strong bond.
