The Luzon Foundation visits Cudeca Foundation’s facilities
The Director General of the Luzon Foundation, May Escobar Lago, visited the headquarters of the Cudeca Foundation this summer to learn about the training and research activities in Palliative Care carried out by the Foundation. During the visit, Luzón was also able to see the different care areas that make up the centre and which attend to people with incurable or advanced diseases, from a multidisciplinary point of view and focused on the comprehensive care of all the patient's needs.
This Foundation aims to improve the quality of life of ALS patients. As part of this work, they have created a National ALS Community that is centred on the patient and their family. The Luzón Foundation works both to improve the social and welfare care of these patients and to promote research into the treatment of ALS.
This Foundation is promoted by Francisco Luzón, a retired economist who was diagnosed with this disease at the beginning of his retirement. The Foundation wants to promote the development of a cure for this ailment, putting in contact different specialists and institutions that can play a role in the search for this cure.
