On Friday 20th November 2009, David Goodland gave a talk on Laurie Lee and the “Romance of Old Spain” which took place in the Salón de Actos at the Cómpeta Town Hall. From the Alhambra to the backstreets of Seville, the Moors to the Civil War, local writer David Goodland discussed the myths and explored the reality.

Jean Sampson, together with many Cudeca supporters managed to double the original tickets sales and the Salon de Actos was full to the brim. Thanks to everyone involved, a fantastic 715 euros was raised for the Hospice Centre.
