Real Club de Golf Las Brisas SOLIDARY

The Real Club de Golf La Brisas hosted the the "Pro-Am Memorial Sebastián de Miguel", on the 24th, 25th and 26th of March. This edition presented a first class format and that was played during two days with a previous practice day. The club took the opportunity to raise funds for its charity work and to allocate €5,000 to promote the palliative care offered by the Cudeca Foundation in the province of Malaga.

The condition of the pitch during the sporting event was excellent. The players highlighted the careful care and maintenance of the course, which allowed the tournament to take place in the best possible conditions. The greens were in perfect condition, with ideal speed and consistency for the game, which allowed the players to make the most of their skills and strategies.

The practice day took place on Friday, March 24, where a cocktail was organized for the presentation of the Pro-Am and the tee times were drawn. On Saturday, March 25, the first round took place, where the two best net scores for each hole were awarded. In the evening, the participants and the organizers of the "Sebastián de Miguel Memorial Pro-Am" enjoyed a gala dinner at the Club House. During the dinner, a tribute was paid to Sebastian de Miguel. His two sons, Ricardo de Miguel and Sebastián de Miguel, were also present at the dinner, in addition to having them as players of the competition. The dinner was a unique opportunity to meet other golfers and share experiences and anecdotes in a relaxed and festive atmosphere.

On Sunday, March 26, the second round was held, with the same criteria as the first, and a cocktail party and awards ceremony were organized at the Club's facilities. The tournament had teams of one professional and three amateurs, with a maximum EGA handicap of 24 men / 32 ladies, to be reduced to 3/4. The professionals were eligible for a significant prize purse.

In addition to the prizes for the teams, individual prizes were also awarded to the golfers who achieved the best results in the different categories, such as the closest to the flag or the longest drive. The professionals, meanwhile, received a cash prize purse and a trophy for the winner.

The event was supported by several sponsors, including Reale Seguros, Galpe Agencia de Seguros, Helicópteros Sanitarios, International Marbella and Grupo Riversa. All of them contributed to make the tournament possible and to offer a high quality experience to all participants.

In short, the support of these sponsors was fundamental for the success of the XXIV edition of the "Sebastián de Miguel Memorial Pro-Am", and their commitment to the sport and the values that golf represents were key to offer an unforgettable experience to all attendees.
