Today, the official presentation of the Walkathon 2019 (taking place on Sunday 12 May on the Benalmadena promenade) has taken place at the centre of the Cudeca Cancer Care Hospice.

The Mayor of Benalmadena, Víctor Navas, has been present at the presentation together with the Deputy Chief Executive and Financial Director of CUDECA, Rafael Olalla and the Manager of Communication and Fundraising, Angel Krebbers.

Rafael Olalla has commented that "CUDECA needs the support of the community to continue caring at the end of life and participating of our Walkathon is a good way to help us. The registration raises funds to continue caring for people with cancer and other advanced diseases and offer support to their families”.

The mayor of Benalmadena invited all residents of Benalmadena and in the province of Malaga to attend the march and commented that "the Cudeca Hospice does an important job for many people at the end of life and we need to be part of events such as the Walkathon so that they can continue to assist many people who need the CUDECA  special kind of caring.

The charity walk´s goal is to raise awareness about our special kind of caring; and raise funds so that we can continue assisting each year to more than 1,400 people with cancer and other advanced illnesses, and support to their family, throughout the province of Malaga. Our services are free of charge.

We look forward to seeing you on the 12th May on the seaside promenade in front of Sunset Beach Club Hotel in Benalmadena (Calle Torrevigía).

There will be three routes:

10 kilometres. Starts10:30h.

2 & 5 kilometres. Starts 12:00h.

You can register online or on the day itself on the beach promenade next to the Hotel Sunset Beach Club. You should register minimum 30 minutes before the starting of each route.

The cost of registering is:

Online Inscription before Walkathon: 10€ for adults & 6€ for children.
Inscription on the day: 12€ for adults & 6€ for children.

Upon registration, you will receive a T-shirt, bottle of water, a drink and a super raffle ticket.
