MÁLAGA FOOTBALL CLUB VISITS THE CUDECA HOSPICE

To mark the donation received yesterday at a press conference coinciding with his new position today as the Vice President of Málaga C.F., Cudeca Cancer Care Hospice had the pleasure of receiving Abdullah Ghubn at the Hospice Centre located in Benalmádena.
Mr. Ghubn who is also the General Director of NAS Group, the new company owner of Málaga Football Club, accompanied by Victor Varela, the Football Club Press Officer, wanted to confirm his interest and commitment to the Cudeca project.
During the visit, our guests had the opportunity to view at first hand, the work and care carried out in the Hospice Centre and were informed of the multidisciplinary programs available; Home Care, In-Patient Unit, Day Care Centre, Rehabilitation, and Psycho-social care.
Yesterday, Mr Ghubn, announced his intention of purchasing all the tickets printed and then to re-sell them for the Football match between Malaga C.F. and Hamilton Academical F.C. taking place on 28th July at 21:00 hours in the Polideportivo Municipal de Arroyo de la Miel (Avenida Salvador Vicente) thanks to the Club Atlético Benamiel, the collaboration of the Benalmádena Town Hall and its sports activities council.
The President and Founder of Cudeca, Joan Hunt, Chief Executive and Medical Director Marisa Martin, Deputy Chief Executive and Financial Director, Rafael Olalla and Communications and Fundraising manager, Rocío Torres, received a cheque for 12,500€ from Abdullah Ghubn, who expressed his desire to continue supporting the Cudeca Hospice in the future.

Each year, Cudeca cares for nearly 600 people suffering with advanced cancer in Málaga and are treated with the “Special Kind of Caring” Cudeca offers the patient and family thanks to its professional team of physicians, psychologists, physiotherapists, nurses and volunteers. All the care provided is completely free of charge.
Over the years, Cudeca has given cost-free care to 5,600 patients, and thanks to friends like Málaga C.F, we are confident that we can help many other people who need us now and in the future.
Cudeca expresses its deepest gratitude for the support shown by members of the Málaga Football Club and many other friends who have made this collaboration possible, from today when the new director of the Club was announced.
