Last December, once again, Cudeca Hopsice Foundation had the support of Mijas Town Hall, which was formalised through the Agreement that regulates the granting of the exceptional subsidy related to the project: Home Care in Palliative Care for patients in the municipality of Mijas in 2024.

This subsidy contributes to the maintenance of the service provided by CUDECA in the municipality, in which during the year 2024, 147 patients have been attended, who have an average age of 70 years, and in 92% of cases have oncological diseases.

The objectives of the Home Care service are focused on improving the quality of life, alleviating suffering and promoting the autonomy of people with advanced disease who have to face the end of life. It promotes care that ensures dignity and peace in the dying process, keeping patients in their own home, as long as this is their wish and their situation allows it.
