Mayor of Benalmádena, Víctor Navas, visits Cudeca and announces two important pieces of news
The Mayor of Benalmádena, Víctor Navas, accompanied by the councillors, Juan Carillo (Health) and Alicia Laddaga (Social Services), visited the Cudeca Foundation and shared two great news:
-the unanimous approval in the Plenary of the Benalmádena Town Council of the Declaration of Public Utility of the second phase of the works of the Cudeca Institute, which will mean a 95% discount on the ICIO.
-The Cudeca Foundation will benefit from a grant of 15,000 euros for the project "Home care for patients with cancer and other advanced illnesses in the municipality of Benalmádena", of which the Benalmádena Town Hall will distribute public subsidies to social groups in the municipality this year 2021.
"This Cudeca Institute will complement the work of the Foundation in caring for many people and their families, training professionals in palliative care and thus disseminating the philosophy and technical knowledge in this area of health", explained the Mayor of Benalmádena, Víctor Navas.
"In addition, this work will create employment and wealth in the municipality, as will the subsequent management of the centre, and the centre will receive students from the rest of Spain and the world, who will need accommodation and meals, so the overall benefit of the project for the town is unquestionable," said the mayor.
"It is a question of the local administration lending a hand to all the social groups working in the town to guarantee support to all those who need it", declared the Mayor of Benalmádena, Víctor Navas, after communicating the amount of the grant to help us.
