On Saturday 9th June, a charity Tournament will be held at the Lauro Golf Club in memory of Stephen Hopley who passed away in early 2010 from cancer at the tender age of 57.
Following the tournament, a raffle was held with magnificent prizes kindly donated by close friends, relatives and local businesses. Thanks to everyone involved a fantastic total of 1.050€ was raised for the Hospice, enabling them to continue offering the Special Kind of Caring to people with advanced non-curable illnesses and support to their families.
Leigh Hopley, Steven’s wife, together with the coordinator of the tournament, Melissa Gallardo, presented the cheque to Janette Smith, a dedicated volunteer from the Alhaurin Charity Shop.
