La Cala Lions Club always with Cudeca Hospice
On 15th April, Mr Rowland Owens, treasurer of La Cala Lions Club and on behalf of them, visited the Cudeca Centre in Benalmádena to present a generous cheque to replace some equipment in the In-Pacient Unit.
The cheque of €2.262,47 will be used to replace the pillows and pillow cases(€434,87), staff uniforms (€1500) and Light regulators (€327).
On behalf of Cudeca Hospice, Joan Hunt, President and Founder, was delighted to receive this cheque which will help the Hospice continue providing the Special Kind of Caring to patients suffering from cancer and other advanced and non-curable illnesses, apart from providing support to their families.
The Mijas La Cala Lions have supported Cudeca for many years and believe that it is truly a cause that lies close to the heart of anyone, who has lost a loved one to cancer. The specific care which is offered makes such a big difference to the patients and their families, adding quality of life and dignity to their remaining days.
