La Cala Golf Resort supports Cudeca Hospice

La Cala Golf Hotel-Spa, located in La Cala de Mijas, held the charity Golf Tournament for the XXIII Cudeca Golf Cup on Saturday 25th June in aid of Cudeca Hospice.
The shotgun start was at 9.30 am as an individual Stableford format, and all the golfers had a great day on a fabulous golf course. After the competition there was a delicious barbecue on the Club House terrace. An auction was hosted by Damien Murphy, a professional golf player, and all of the guests were keen to participate in the bidding frenzy. There was also a raffle and a tombola with wonderful prizes kindly donated by local businesses and individuals.
Cudeca Hospice and La Cala Resort have decided to dedicate this year's tournament to Joan Stock in memory and gratitude for her dedication in raising over 150,000 euros for us in the last 22 years.
Cudeca Hospice is sincerely grateful to Vic and Pauline Hilliard (2016 Captains) and Bobo and Lotta (2016 Vice Captains) for organising the event this year and to Damien Murphy, master of ceremony. Heartfelt thanks also go to all members of the Resort, Directors and staff for their support and for making it such a special and successful day.
For more than two decades, Cudeca Hospice has provided Palliative care to more than 11.000 patients via the following personalized care programmes: Home care visits, In-Patient unit, Day Care Centre, Physiotherapy, Counselling and Psyco-Social Programme. All care provided by the Hospice is cost-free.
