Last week, on Wednesday 30th October, I had the opportunity to participate in the II Palliative Care Day organized by Antequera support team from Public Health Services.

In the Conference we were able to attend to lectures such as "Update of Pain", by Dr. Antonio Ortega, as well as the latest updates on Breast Cancer treatment, or the presentation of the latest Integrated Care Process of Palliative Care.

It could be observed through another presentation by the Head of the Antequera emergency team, increasingly greater integration of palliative care in other areas of action such as the emergency services.

It was my turn to close the morning with a talk on the "importance of attending to the spiritual dimension at the end of life". Demonstrating that spiritual care generates Health and an improvement in the quality of life, both in patients and families, as well for professionals, was a nice way to close the Conference. A great motivation and interest of the public was generated in deepening more on how to take care of the spiritual dimension.
