The cultural association Lucky Quilters International of Benalmádena is organizing the II International Festival of Textile Art in the incomparable setting of the Bil-Bil Castle (Benalmádena Costa) from the 7th to the 16th September to help the Cudeca Cancer Care Hospice.   Last year, the I Edition was held in the same location and was very successful and well received by all who visited.   The Exhibition counts on the collaboration of the Benalmadena City Council as well as Hospital Vithas Xanit, Distribuciones González Martín, Costa Media, Cortinas Azahar and lovers of this artistic discipline.
The participating artists are top European artists Ann Hill (UK), Jo Dennisson (UK), Anna Slawinska (PL), Amparo Ruiz Cillero (ES), Galla Grotto (FR), Lyubov Lezhanina (UK), Irina Shashilova (UZ) and Irina Chekini (UK), some of them have won prestigious international awards.   The Lucky Quilters International´s motto is WITH ART WE IMPROVE OUR WORLD, and they also wish to transmit that this is the main idea of this II Festival.   Free entrance to the festival at the Bil-Bil Castle from 7th to 16th September.
This event is dedicated to the Cudeca Hospice (cancer care – Benalmádena), Kölner Herzkissen (breast cancer - Germany) and Candelaria Centre (Alhaurín de la Torre - disability in all its stages).   During the exhibition, raffle tickets for a patchwork work will be on sale whose proceeds will go to the Cudeca Hospice fully.
There will also be an exhibition - competition called "Textile Art in La Paloma Park” on the 8-9th September.
