II Cudeca-Añoreta Golf Tournament

On the 25th and 26th Mayo, the II Charity Golf Tournament - Añoreta Golf Club, in memory of "Fernando Martín Pinto" and in aid of Cudeca Cancer Care Hospice was held and exceeded expectations with a fantastic fundraising result of 35.118,05€! This charity event was held at the premises of the Añoreta Golf Club in Rincón de la Victoria, where all golfers enjoyed a tournament with sea views, a raffle with fabulous prizes (including a Mediterranean cruise for 2 people, courtesy of Royal Caribbean Spain) and for the winners, trophies exclusively designed by the renowned sculptor Eugenio de la Torre, which will be presented during the course of the evening by the Spanish celebrity Domi del Postigo. More than 7,000 people have been treated by Cudeca since 1992 via the care programs: Home Care, Day Care Centre, In-Patient Unit, Out-patient Program, Psycho-Social Rehabilitation and Assisted Counselling.

This tournament is made possible thanks to the committee of volunteers and headed by Josefa F. Perez Mata, wife of the late Fernando Martin Pinto who was a Cudeca patient and former chairman of the committee. Last year a grand total of 31,500€ was raised, which helped Cudeca continue to offer the Special Kind of Caring to 750 patients with advanced, non-curable illnesses and also support to their families, all free of charge.
