A Charity event was held in aid of Cudeca at Jim & Tess Youngs bar, “Oceanos” in Fuengirola on Thursday 9th December. A raffle was held with generous donations from many local businesses, including meals at Chameleons in Benalmadena & Molina de Cura in Mijas, a fabulous hamper from Kelli's Deli in Arroyo, with the star prize, an overnight stay with dinner & breakfast in Sunset Beach Hotel and to finish an auction took place including items such as a Bentley ride, video cameras & much more.

 

Garry Walters instigated the event because of his wife’s ongoing battle with breast cancer and his need to do something to help others affected with cancer, so he decided to have his hair shaved off for charity, along with many other friends including Bill Giles, Richard the hedgehog, who all had a no1 all over and one brave local from the bar Nigel who had his chest waxed..ouch! Rik Caveney did a fantastic job as master of Ceremonies for the evening, making everyone dig deep to help a worthy cause. It was a thoroughly enjoyable and fun evening for all, raising a fantasic 1000€ for the Cudeca Hospice!
