Exciting and profound representation of the play by NEUQUEN TEATRO “El Duelo” at the Casa de la Cultura in Benalmádena to help us
On Friday February 15, the theater company NEUQUEN TEATRO performed its play “El Duelo” at the Casa de la Cultura in Benalmadena to help us to continue our special kind of caring.
Encouraged by a remarkable spirit of solidarity, the members of the theater company NEUQUEN TEATRO met at the Casa de la Cultura in Benalmádena to perform this play for solidarity purposes. Thanks to the sale of solidarity tickets, the company was able to collect a total of 336 € that have been donated in full to us to continue our care. The representation was attended by 4 CUDECA volunteers, who were responsible for receiving all attendees and informing about the work of the hospice.
Recently, Pedro Castañeda and Rosa Hernández (directors of the play) visited CUDECA together with one of the actors, Fernando Cana, to deliver the funds collected with emotion. "We highly consider the work that the Cudeca Hospice does for our community and we know that CUDECA could eventually care for any of us too. We are the ones who feel grateful for having been able to help with this contribution," said Rosa Hernandez, visibly moved.
For their part, both Pedro Castañeda and Fernando Cana appreciated the guided tour of the facilities round the Cudeca center offered by the Nursing Supervisor of the Hospitalization Unit and Day Care Centre, José Manuel Lapeira, who explained the history of the foundation since its inception in 1992 and wanted to convey the high importance of the acts of solidarity and culture that are performed to help the hospice continue its work.
Once the visit was over, Esther Ráez and Vanessa Morales from the Department of Communication and Fundraising took the photo that would reflect the delivery of the funds collected by the NEUQUEN Theatre Company.
The representation of this work will be possible thanks to the work of the professional cast of actors committed to the Cudeca Hospice and to the generosity of Duendescena, the Department of Culture of Benalmádena and the altruistic disposition of the Casa de la Cultura de Benalmádena.
