Cudeca together with celebrities at the Starlite Gala
Cudeca Cancer Care Hospice is sincerely grateful to the hosts of the Starlite Gala, Antonio Banderas, Melanie Griffith, Eva Longoria, Maria Bravo and Sandra Garcia - San Juan, to all the patrons of the Foundation ‘Lágrimas y Favores’, friends, collaborators, and to all those who attended the gala, for all the support and affection given to Cudeca on the evening of Saturday 7th August in Marbella.
Above all, we are very grateful for the continual support and collaboration of our good friend, presenter, actress and model, Remedios Cervantes, for her kindness and solidarity towards our Special Kind of Caring provided to patients suffering from advanced cancer and other non-curable illnesses.
The Starlite Gala attracted over 500 people who joined forces at the international luxurious five star Hotel Villa Padierna, to raise funds for three charities: Eva's Heroes, Eva Longoria, Lágrimas y Favores by Antonio Banderas and ‘Niños en Alegria’ by Sandra García - Sanjuán. The Gala was presented by the renowned Spanish TV Presenter, Anne Igartiburu and the famous British actor Joseph Fiennes.
Antonio Banderas said: "It is a special night for this cause that I support" referring to the Lágrimas y Favores Foundation which aims to help the University of Malaga and Cudeca Cancer Care Hospice, ongoing.

Since 1992, Cudeca has attended to more than 5,800 patients through personalized programs - the Home Care Program, In-Patient Unit, Day Care Centre and many other multidisciplinary activities coordinated from the Hospice Centre.
Cudeca is comprised of 60 professionals and 632 volunteers, and provides cost-free care to more than 700 patients every year; 143 people are treated in the In-Patient Unit at the Hospice Centre, 2593 home visits, 3735 psychosocial interventions, and 791people in the Counselling Program.
Our cost-free social welfare work entails a high annual cost (2.9 million €), and we therefore depend on the support of the community, so that we can continue to assist thousands of people who need our special kind of caring.
Cudeca requires the cooperation of all to continue giving life to days now and in the future.
