Cudeca Foundation, Cancer Hospice, Events
Benalmádena, 14th May 2015
The British Embassy in Madrid will celebrate on the 18th June one of the most important days for United Kingdom: The National day of the Coronation of H.M. Queen Elizabeth II.
Within this special context, the British Embassy in Madrid, has chosen Cudeca Hospice as the charity they will support during this event, in recognition to the care and compassion provided by Cudeca Hospice to patients with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses, totally free of charge. There will be a Cudeca awareness table at the celebration.
The “special kind of caring” of Cudeca Hospice has helped more than 9.000 patients since 1992 through its caring programmes: Home Care and Out-patient Programme, Day Care and Rehabilitation Unit, In-patient Unit, Psycho-Social Support Programme, and Counselling Service. Moreover, Cudeca works actively teaching, training and researching in order to extend and improve palliative care development, and therefore improve quality of care provided to patients and their families.
Each year, more than 900 families are assisted free-of-charge with the special way of caring of Cudeca Hospice, thanks to a professional team of Doctors, Psycologists, Physiotherapists, nurses and volunteers.
Thanks to committed contributions like this one from the British Embassy in Madrid, we will be able to continue Adding life to the days, for those that most need us.
