Tony Simmonds has given himself the challenge for his 75th Birthday in October to climb Mount Kilimanjaro 5895m (19,341ft).
Accompanied by his son Jeremy and daughter Wendy, he expects to be on the summit of Uhuru Peak at sun rise on October 9th. To make the challenge more worthwhile he has decided to raise as much money as possible for the Cudeca Hospice.
He is also a member of The Field Club walking club of Fuengirola and the Senderistas walking group of Torreblanca, so hopefully will be up to the challenge.
All the donations will go to Cudeca Hospice.
