This year’s ‘Lark in the Park’ in Benahavís is in aid of the cancer relief charity, Cudeca. Now in its fifth year, the event is staged by the International Theatre Studio in the town’s beautiful ParqueLeonera. The fun-packed evening comprises a one-act comedy and appearances by well-known singers and musicians.
The 2014 ‘Lark in the Park’ takes place on Sunday, June 1 (7pm start) in the park’s outdoor auditorium which can accommodate about 200 people. Entry is by donation (suggested amount €12) and tickets are available from local retailers* and by phoning 952 880 630 during the day or 952 880 240 at weekends and evenings. Tickets will also be available at the door on the night, subject to availability.
The evening is hosted by local celebrity Tony Wells and artistes performing include guitarist Mark Jacobson and singers Sam Oliver and Zoe Louise.
During a one-hour interval the audience traditionally relaxes with picnics under the stars.
As usual the performance takes place by kind permission of the Ayuntamiento de Benahavís and this year is sponsored by Harris Insurance Spain.
The International Theatre Studio is the Costa del Sol’s oldest established amateur dramatics society.
