On Friday 28th February, a group  of very enthusiastic people called Campo presents Competa´s first Hoe-Down at The Balcon Hotel in Competa.The doors will open at 7.30pm for 8pm start. A hoedown is a type of American folk dance or square dance in duple meter.
 
Tickets for this evening are only 5 euros and include a welcome drink. 
 
Limited access, still for only 5 euros will be available on the door on the night but this does not include a welcome drink.
 
Tasty food will be available to purchase separately during the night; Hot Dogs, Hamburgers, Vegetarian Burgers; Hot Pork Rolls with all the trimmings together with Jacket Potatoes, Corn on the Cob, and of course Baked Beans, all at reasonable prices starting from just 0,75€.
 
The money raised during this event will support two charities; Cudeca our local cancer care support and Cancer Research in Spain.
 
It’ll be looking for the best dressed Cowboy/girl or Indian so join them at their first Hoe-Down.
 
In addition to the dancing festivities, there will be lots of great side shows where you can join in the fun at Tin Can Alley, on the Hoopla, Hook a Duck or even try your hand at Darts all generously sponsored by Competa local businesses.
