Earlier this month, after a long hard winter on the Costa del Sol, the sun finally made an appearance on the terrace at the Tamisa Golf Hotel in Mijas and it coincided perfectly with the celebration and coverage of the Grand National. The world’s most famous steeplechase and national institution,  the Grand National, was being shown on TV screens as guests were greeted with welcome drinks and they took their places to enjoy, not only the horse race, but also the soulful voices of Mr Maph and Simone Lisa as well as the talented voice of a new arrival on the coast, John Chapman.  Thanks go to all the musicians who performed for free and to John Peach, the owner of the Tamisa Golf Hotel, and all of his staff. This special afternoon, spent overlooking the Mijas Golf course, left us with more great memories and was hosted by the well-seasoned professional Lee Jay as another superb buffet was served at the Tamisa. The afternoon came to a close with our charity raffle which took place with quality prizes on offer and a total of 1,165 euros was raised for Cudeca Hospice. We look forward to seeing you all next year for another edition of this great event.
