All in 1 Café, the popular restaurant and bar on the ‘Ronda Road’, organized a successful sponsored walk up the La Concha mountain in Marbella on 16th March to raise awareness and funds to help us.

The event was open to all and began at 9am with a breakfast meeting at the All in 1 Café restaurant. Hikers headed up to El Refugio de Juanar to begin the hike to the peak of the mountain. The route taken will be the slightly longer path than that from Istán but a little less demanding. Nevertheless, the famous La Concha mountain stands tall at 1200m, so hikers should have been prepared for a full day’s hiking and carry suitable provisions, footwear and clothing. Those that made it to the top were treated with spectacular views over the Costa del Sol, and everyone in the small group made voluntarily donations to us raising a great total amount of €980.

Two CUDECA volunteers and a representative from CUDECA were present at breakfast and to wave as hikers headed up to La Concha after a great moment together while having breakfast and taking pictures of the very exciting start of the event.

One of the hikers (who prefers us not to use his name) mentioned that: “It is such a great honor for me to be part of this event since I love nature and I personally understand the work that CUDECA does to the community. I hope we can help you out a little bit with our donations and our enthusiasm”.-

On their side, the CUDECA representative, Esther Ráez from the Communication and Fundraising department, stated that: “Without the support of the community and our volunteers it would be very difficult for CUDECA to continue caring for so many patients. I am very happy to share this breakfast with all these generous hikers at this beautiful café All in 1 Café, which always receives me with open arms”.-

This is only one of the various events that All in 1 Café is organizing to help the Cudeca Hospice. The next one will be in April 20^th, when a Quiz Night will take place at the restaurant for a great evening of fun and charity.
