A meeting of the Care Transport Volunteers
Meeting up with old and new friends is always special, and this is what happened last week at the Care Transport Volunteers follow-up meeting. We held a meeting for the volunteers who pick up patients in their own cars and take them to doctor's appointments or for tests, or bring them to the Day Centre, so that they could talk about last year's experiences and offer their ideas for this year. We heard many interesting views and conclusions given by the volunteers. But perhaps the most rewarding point on which they all agreed upon is that all the patients are grateful for the help they're given, although the volunteers see it differently, in that the patients help them as volunteers.
