A big “Thank you” to the Community for such a successful Telethon 2008
On behalf of Joan Hunt and the Fundraising team, we would like to send our sincere thanks to everyone who supported Cudeca at the Telethon 2008. All those who donated items were extremely generous and the current credit crunch did not seem to affect people bidding for such an important cause. This massive annual auction has made such a difference to the lack of funding Cudeca is currently facing, raising over 40.000€!!
This year’s funds will be focused on helping to save the in-patient from closure. Since opening the Unit in 2005, the financial support received has not covered the high maintenance costs of the unit and as a result could mean possible closure of the Unit. However if we continue to work together on such successful events and bring in those much needed funds, along with promoting our “become a benefactor” campaign, the future of the In-Patient Unit looks a lot brighter.
