On 22 July 2024, Benalmádena Town Hall, through the Department of Social Welfare and Dependency, agreed to award Fundación Cudeca a grant of €25,000 to finance the project ‘PLAY-PAL: CARING FOR THE END OF LIFE BY PLAYING’ for another year. In compliance with the objectives of Benalmádena Town Hall's Strategic Plan for the year 2024, this is a project of social interest that brings added value to the community, through the normalisation of the daily lives of paediatric patients and their families and carers. With play and recreational activities as the central axis, the well-being of patients is promoted by Cudeca Foundation's interdisciplinary paediatric palliative care team at all levels: physical and functional through physiotherapy, affective, emotional, and socio-familial through psychological care and social work, and social and recreational with play as the main catalyst.
