Instituto Cudeca receives a visit from professionals from the Manuel Gea Hospital in Mexico and the Juan Cruzado Foundation
Cudeca Institute continues to position itself as a benchmark in the field of Palliative Care. In recent weeks it has been visited by professionals from different fields. On the one hand, Dr. Adriana Templos, Surgeon, anaesthesiologist, researcher and Head of the Palliative Care and Pain Clinic Division of the Dr. Manuel Gea González General Hospital in Mexico, visited our facilities. We also received a visit from Mr. Juan Cruzado, founder of the Juan Cruzado - Vértice Salud Foundation.
In the first case, during the visit they had the opportunity to see the works of the future headquarters of the institute. Together with Dr. Templos, two members of her team, Dr. Mónica Osio and psychologist Nan Rangel, were also present. The three were also able to learn about the evolution of palliative care at the Cudeca Foundation's hospice.
On the other hand, Juan Cruzado, founder of Grupo Vértice, also gives his name to the Foundation that he created in 2000 after the death of his mother, who suffered from a long term Alzheimer's disease. His interest in improving care for chronic and palliative patients has led him to work intensively to promote specialised and effective care. Cruzado, whose business group deals precisely with training, was able to learn about Cudeca Institute's proposal in this field, as well as Cudeca's work in patient and family care.
Cudeca Institute's mission is to disseminate the working philosophy born from the experience of the Cudeca Foundation, but also to offer quality and specialised training for health and care professionals who want to specialise in this field.
