This morning we were very pleased to welcome the Deputy Delegate for the Elderly, Third Sector and International Cooperation, Francisco José Martin Moreno.

Señor Moreno was accompanied by members of the municipal corporation of Benalmádena Town Hall: Alicia Laddaga, Councillor with Special Delegation for Social Services; Irene Díaz, Senior Citizens, Employment and Training; Juan Antonio Lara, Councillor of the Partido Popular and Miguel Angel González Durán, of the Partido Popular of Benalmádena.

After initial greetings, the delegation was given a tour of the Foundation's facilities.

The visit was a great opportunity for members of the hospice team to thank the Diputación de Málaga for their wonderful contribution during 2020/21 of 20,000 euros in support of the Guadalhorce Valley Carers Project, as well as the grant of 5,500 euros in 2021 for the purchase of hygiene and sanitary equipment for the hospice.

We sincerely hope that thanks to the new opportunity to apply for a grant from the Provincial Council for the Third Sector, we will soon be able to commence the renovation works needed at the Cudeca Day Care Centre where activities are carried out to support the welfare of our patients with terminal or degenerative illnesses.
