Two Mexican doctors spend a training stay at Cudeca
Two Mexican doctors have spent this summer at Cudeca Foundation's facilities, as part of the rotation and training programmes for medical professionals that this organisation sets up. These two professionals are students of the Diploma in Palliative and Pain Care at the National Autonomous University of Mexico.
These training placements are designed for professionals from different healthcare and medical fields, as they are adapted to the specialisation in each case in order to offer a beneficial experience. In this case, the participants were a geriatric cardiologist and an anaesthesiologist/algologist. For three weeks, both have been accompanying the Foundation's care teams, learning in a practical way the treatment strategies for inpatients.
All the training stays are supervised by the Foundation's team of professionals. One of the objectives of these stays is to raise awareness of Cudeca's philosophy of care, which is based on comprehensive care for all the needs of the patient, from the medical to the psychological dimension.
