Lucky Quilters International and the German Consul visit Cudeca
Recently, the cultural association Lucky Quilters International visited us to show the result of their first project to help Cudeca. They have had many difficulties to make it through and have had to make huge efforts due to the pandemic, but they could hold the sale of the masks they sewed to raise money to buy new quilts for our Hospitalisation Unit at our centre in Benalmádena.
Lucky Quilters expressed their thanks to all the residents of Benalmádena and the parishioners of the Virgen del Carmen parish who helped in the making, to the entrepreneurs/self-employed people of the town, to the supermarket Gusto Market Marbella/Estepona for supporting the sale, to the staff of the shop Cortinas Azahar (Arroyo de la Miel) for giving an extra quilt and to the Cudeca's charity shop managers for their collaboration.
The presentation was attended by the Consul of the German Embassy in Andalusia Arnulf Braun, who saw first hand the good work of his fellow Germans on the Costa del Sol Madina Abdraschitova, the Association's Godmother and on behalf of the Cudeca Foundation, Marisa Martín, Chief Executive and Medical Director and Angel Krebbers, Head of Communications and Fundraising.
After the handover, a brief tour round the premises of the care centre took place to explain to the Consul how the care and work is carried out.
The Consul expressed his intention to help us in any way possible for them.
Cudeca Hospice would like to thank the Association and the Consul for visiting our centre.
