Emotional and fun Anita Ferriday fundraising memorial race night in the United Kingdom for CUDECA

On 21 February, friends and relatives of the loving Anita Ferriday (14/01/1942 – 30/11/2019) gathered together to celebrate her life at the Walshaw Sports Club, Bury, Lancashire, England, to help us continue our special kind of caring.
Her family and Friends have gathered together to celebrate her life. There was an indoor green racetrack that sits on te floor with 6 lanes, and 31 squares moving in a forward direction. There were six wooden horses, ridden by the children of the people attending .

They had two giant dice, one was rolled to pick a horse, the other was then rolled to see how many squares the horse advanced towards the finish line. All of the six races on the night were sponsered by local businesses in Lancashire (UK), and each of the six horses were also bought for a donation. The attendees on the night bet on each horse and recieved prizes if their horse won.

The night was well attended despite some rainy weather, everyone had a great night.

Peter Rosenbloom, a very close family friend,  gave a short speech stating the care we provided to Anita Ferriday.

The horse race night in memory of Anita Ferriday raised almost €1,800 among all friends and family and was destined to the help us.

Special thanks go to the staff and members of Walshaw Sports Club, Tottington, Bury; Les & Paul Ferriday and family as well as the event organisers Pete Rosenbloom & Malcolm Quilty (Walshaw Sports Club Chairman).
