Students´ excitement of the Marins´ Academy of English raises €300 presented to us!
On Monday, January 21, the Marins´ Academy of English presented the funds raised by their students during the month of November 2018 to us so we can continue our special kind of caring.
Inspired by a great spirit of solidarity, the students of the Marins´ Academy of English, by the hands of its owner, Adrian Marin, joined forces to raise a total of € 300 between donations and a percentage of each monthly fee. The reason that led the students of this academy located in Fuengirola to dedicate the month of November to raise funds to help us is within the solidarity movement known as Movember.
On his side, Adrián Marín has declared to us with enthusiasm: "We did not want to do something to help men or women especially, we wanted to do something that could help in the battle against cancer, whoever its victim. The first name that crossed my mind was CUDECA, they do a unique work, based on love and total devotion to life. The fact that Marins´ Academy can be minimally related to CUDECA is an enormous honor to me, as well as for each of the students and staff of the academy”. One of the students of the academy, Lidia García, explained that: "it is not the typical academy where to learn English, it is more than that, it is an academy that makes you feel comfortable from the first moment, where sense of humor and good vibes prevail, both with the students and with the teaching staff, especially with Adri, who is my teacher and owner of the school, his excitement and the energy put into his project is transmitted to the school by making the learning of a new language much more fun and bearable. As soon as Adri told us that he was going to donate a percentage of our monthly fee to CUDECA, I thought it was an admirable gesture on his part and he made me feel proud to be part of this beautiful initiative, since small gestures make great works and everything adds up in the fight against cancer".
The Marins´ Academy of English began its trajectory in 2015, focusing on teaching both English and Spanish as a foreign language to adults. Teenagers, entrepreneurs, retired people are only a part of the students that today occupy their classrooms and that joined this small personal cause.
