Dr. Marisa Martín, Executive Chief & Medical Director of CUDECA, received a cheque for 35,000€ from Antonio Banderas.
Likewise, €80,000 were given to the University of Malaga, €45,000 to Caritas, €20,000 to the Corinto Foundation and €10,000 in aid of the Diocesan Seminary.
Numerous personalities from Malaga society accompanied us in this important event: The mayor of Malaga, Francisco de la Torre; the delegate of the Government of the Junta de Andalucía, José Luis Ruiz Espejo; the vice-president of the Diputación, Ana Carmen Mata; the national deputy, Carolina España; the president of the Agrupación, Pablo Atencia; the president of the Cajasol Foundation, Antonio Pulido; the provincial deputy, Kika Caracuel and the councillor of Economy, María del Mar Martín Rojo; entertainners such as Sara Baras, David de María and Nuria Fergó, who also performed for all present, as for well-known businessmen, Eldest Brothers from Brotherhoods and almost 300 people in the audience?
The Lágrimas y Favores Foundation was set up in 2010 as a social commitment to all the people of Malaga and as a project to materialize the work of the Malaga brotherhoods, highlighting their social dedication throughout the year as a model of Holy Week in the 21st century.
There are three main objectives: education through a collaboration agreement with the University of Malaga that offers financial resources to university students via scholarship programmes; help for the terminally ill in collaboration with the Cudeca Hospice and support to underprivileged families through Caritas parishes and the Corinto Foundation.
We are always grateful for the Lágrimas y Favores Foundation unconditional support, so welcome and necessary for our foundation.
