Right after, Joan Hunt was followed by Marisa Martin who summarizes the first 25 years of Cudeca´s History.

Dr. María Luisa Martín, Chief Executive & Medical Director explained the result of the caring provided during 2016 to 1,270 patients by the 5 Home Care Teams and 235 patients cared for in the In-Patient Unit. She also announced that this year a Master Degree in Palliative Care had been developed in collaboration with the University of Malaga and the General Foundation of the University of Malaga. She also highlighted as future projects: the improvement of Palliative Care for children and also the construction of the Training Centre as a way to finance Cudeca´s care and spread the knowledge of Palliative Care among national & international professionals. Rafael Olalla, Deputy Chief Executive and Finance Director highlighted the positive economic result for the fourth consecutive year. "It is 25 years of solid growth, with diversified revenues, and extraordinary support from the entire community globally," he added. "Still, every year we must continue to strive to find the 3.5 million euros annual budget that the Cudeca project costs today. 15% of the income comes from a public source; the rest of it comes from the generosity of the community. "

Following the two reports, the 2016 Gold Pin was awarded by Joan Hunt, O.B.E. to Susan Hannam, Vice President, in recognition to her longstanding and highly valued collaboration. Susan Hannam expressed how an honour receiving this Gold Pin was to her and how gratifying all these years besides Joan Hunt had been. After her speech, she invited all present to a cocktail served by Los Mellizos and thanked everybody for attending the Annual Results Presentation.
