UNICAJA RENEWS CONTRACT ENABLING CUDECA TO CONTINUE ATTENDING TO PEOPLE WITH ADVANCED AND NON-CURABLE ILLNESSES AND SUPPORT TO THEIR FAMILIES
With this agreement, the bank will support the development of the Home Care Program, In-Patient Unit, Day Care Centre and other multidisciplinary activities coordinated by the Hospice via sponsorship of cultural fundraising events.
Unicaja has signed a new partnership agreement with Cudeca Cancer Care Hospice by which this financial institution will help the non-profit making Hospice to care for people with advanced and non-curable illnesses, and also offer emotional, social and spiritual support to both the patient and their family.
The special Kind of Caring Cudeca provides has already helped over 7,000 people since 1992 thanks to the assistance programmes: Home Care, Day Care Centre, In-Patient Unit, Outpatient Program, Psycho-Social Rehabilitation and Counselling Program. In addition, Cudeca is actively involved in training, research and awareness of palliative care for professionals, volunteers and families.
Each year, over 750 families are cared for free of charge with the Special Kind of Caring by the Cudeca Hospice, thanks to its professional team of physicians, psychologists, physiotherapists, nurses and volunteers. Therefore, charity agreements such as these, allow Cudeca to continue Giving Life to Days to those who need it most.
