Good Companions Club Support to Cudeca Hospice
Benalmádena, 24th February 2012
Joan Hunt, President and Founder of Cudeca Hospice, was privileged to receive a donation of 10,000 euros at the Annual General Meeting of the Good Companions Club members on 14 February.
The Club was formed in 1995 by volunteers working in the Fuengirola Hospice Charity Shop with the objective of raising funds towards the cost of the special palliative care for patients suffering from advanced non-curable cancer or other life-threatening illnesses, which is provided by the medical personnel at the Hospice Centre in Benalmádena.
This is the 18th annual donation that has been made to Cudeca and brings the cumulative total for the past years to 130,971 euros. This is the 20th anniversary of Cudeca hospice care, and it is particularly significant that the Fuengirola shop has moved to premises with much improved facilities for the volunteers.
Everyone in Cudeca send heartfelt thanks to all the Good Companions for their great support and congratulations on the continuing success of the Club.
