The Benalmádena Racket Club raises 4.190,38 for Cudeca Hospice!
On the 10th March, the Benalmadena Racket Club presented a symbolic cheque for 4.190,38€ in aid of the Cudeca Care Hospice, raised thanks to the II Padel Tournament in memory of Eva Ortega. These funds are from the inscriptions charged for taking part in the padel tournament held on the 4th, 5th and 6th of February, in memory of the club’s player and friend of the Cudeca Hospice, Eva Ortega, and in aid of Cudeca.
This presentation was attended by representatives of the Benalmadena Racket Club, the Sport’s Councillor for Benalmadena, Manuel Crespo, and Rocío Torres, Cudeca’s Communications and Fundraising Manager.
The initial figure of 1.000€ raised from the inscriptions in the Racket Club was greatly increased by a further 3.190,38€, thanks to the support and help of the volunteers and friends of Eva Ortega, reaching a grand total of 4.190,38€.
The Benalmadena Racket Club, friends and family of Eva Ortega and the Sports Council of the Benalmadena Town Hall have been supporting the Cudeca Hospice for many years by organising events that raise funds to help the Hospice and the more than 650 people who need our help every year, via the care programmes that Cudeca offers completely free of charge.
